Online dating is how many people meet their spouse nowadays, but there have been recent incidents showing that those who date online need to take precaution.

Predators that are using dating websites know what they`re doing. So it`s important to get to know your matches by speaking with them on the phone, and only meeting in public places. The North Dakota court`s website will show people`s criminal records, which is an even better tool than Google.

Mark Holter, Ward County Sheriff`s Department, said “The potential is always there. Don’t make it easier for these people to make you into a victim, by putting all your info online and inviting people to your house. Don’t make it easy for them.”
