Milwaukee Man Sentenced on Gun Charge

A Milwaukee man who was living in Minot will serve over two years in federal prison on a charge of possession of firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. Shawn Larkin, 30, will serve two years and seven months in prison to be followed by two years of supervised release.

Last July, Minot police were called to Rooster`s Bar for a report of a fight. A witness told police that Larkin had a gun. Police found a loaded .40 handgun in Larkin`s waistband.

In addition to prison, Larkin will also have to pay a $100 assessment to the Crime Victim`s Fund.
