Super Bowl Sunday | Video

Alex Hagan | 2/3/2013

It`s Super Bowl Sunday and bars in Bismarck were spending the whole day getting ready for the big game. Sidelines Sports Bar employees are expecting their busiest night of the year. Bartender Jason Krouse says it`s always busy when football is on, but every Super Bowl the bar is at least 3/4 full. Customers are also allowed to bring their own food for a potluck during the game.

The bar will also have specials on beer and burgers. Employees say they always prepare early and always make sure they have plenty of staff working.

"On a football day we usually do have more people on. Yes, a typical Sunday outside of football season, it`s just me running the whole bar until 5:00. When there`s football going on, I always got one or two cocktails, I got another back-up just in case. I need help behind the bar for night games. There`s always two bartenders, always two cocktails," said Krouse.

Krouse says on Super Bowl Sunday he tries to have four to five bartenders working just in case they are more busy than usual.
