Catholic High School students battled it out today in the state "Know Your Faith" competition. Bismarck St. Mary`s hosted teams from Fargo Shanley, Minot Bishop Ryan and Dickinson Trinity at the high energy event.

About 900 students dressed in Star Wars, trojan and toga themes to support the top scorers from each of their schools. The winning team received a traveling trophy and bragging rights.

"More than anything, they just like coming together from all these schools. A lot of these kids go on a Rome pilgrimage together in the summer and they`ve gotten to know each other and now it`s the 4th year of the state championship, so they`ve kind of built a camaraderie with each other," said St. Mary`s Religious Studies Chair Reed Ruggles.

Fargo Shanley won this year. The contest is part of Catholic Schools Week.
