Hoeven Speaks Out on Keystone Pipeline | Video

Jennifer Joas | 1/23/2013

The Keystone XL pipeline has been a topic of debate across the country, and today Senator John Hoeven urged the president to make a decision. It`s been four and a half years since TransCanada first applied for a presidential permit for the Keystone XL pipeline. And it`s still awaiting federal approval. One of the holdups on the project was the route through Nebraska`s Sandhill region.

But now that the Nebraska Governor is on board with the new route, Hoeven says the president should approve it. "This is about something Americans want and that`s energy independence and it`s something we can achieve if we just work together and get it done."

The letter to Obama got 53 signatures in one day.
