Things are changing in the Department of Public Instruction. New State Superintendent Kirsten Baesler held her first field visit with teachers today. The Missouri River Educational Cooperative hosted a statewide summit in Bismarck.

"It`s something I hope to continue to do. I think it sets the priority to me is to make sure what we`re doing at the state level is helping and supporting those that are teaching the children in the local classrooms," Baesler said.

The group discussed several programs, which are designed to improve educational outcomes in the coming years.
