State Park Upgrades

| 12/31/2012

North Dakota`s oldest state park could be getting a makeover. The State Parks and Recreation Department says the Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park south of Mandan has bought an additional 300 acres of land. Officials hope to add a new campground for bigger motor homes and campers.

Other possible upgrades are new sleeping cabins and an in-park transportation system. A public meeting is scheduled for January 9 in Mandan to outline the plans.
