Winter weather can make for some dangerous driving conditions. And anyone: an experienced driver, a new driver, or a driver who`s not used to snow and ice can encounter an unexpected situation on the road. But it`s possible to reduce your risk. The North Dakota Safety Council is offering a course called Slippery Slope, focusing on ways to drive safely in the winter.

The course talks about how weather affects gravel roads versus highway roads and how different vehicles can respond to different conditions.
