Standoff in New Town | Video

An armed stand-off is underway in New Town. A man has been holed up in a house there since last night. Reports say he took hostages at around midnight. We`re told he has since released the hostages, but as of news time, was still refusing to surrender.

Officials at Mandaree High School have confirmed that they have been in lock-down mode all day long because of the stand-off situation.
