"It`s a pretty unique situation so we`ll have to have special parties and let her know that," said mom, Melissa Olson.
Just down the street at Sanford Health, another little one made his debut. Baby Ethan`s parents weren`t expecting him for another month.
"We were 36 weeks today. So he brought up the point that 12, 12, 12, that equals 36. So that was kinda a cool, unique feature for us. Kinda fun," said mom, Stephanie Williams.
Babies weren`t the only ones celebrating birthdays. Ken Clouston was born 68 years ago today and says this one is extra special.
"I had a stroke October 1st and I came out of it pretty good. I`m still going to PT but it`s nice to be around and to be here."
He says he plans on being with family and getting some of those free birthday treats around town.
For some, the day means the start of a journey as husband and wife.
"When the months fall month, day, year is all the same it`s usually a good wedding day. It`s easy for people to remember their anniversaries that way," said Burleigh County Recorder Debbie Kroshus.
So whether 12-12-12 meant new life, marriage or just an extra special birthday, it`s a day that won`t soon be forgotten by some.
In Bismarck, there were two babies born at Sanford today and five at St. Alexius.
