ND National Guard Soldier Remains Flown Home | Video

The remains of one of two soldiers killed in Afghanistan last week has arrived home for a proper burial. This morning, the North Dakota National Guard carried the remains of sergeant first class Darren Linde to Sidney, Montana.

Linde and specialist Tyler Orgaard were killed in an explosion on Monday, December 3. Both Linde and Orgaard served with the National Guard`s 818th Engineer Company. Funeral services are still pending.

The remains of specialist Tyler Orgaard are expected to arrive in Bismarck at 4:30 p.m. Monday.

The North Dakota National Guard will conduct a dignified transfer at the Army Aviation Support Facility near the Bismarck airport.
