Cavalier Man Sentenced on Child Pornography Charges

A Cavalier man will serve over six years in prison on charges of child pornography. Cody John O`Hara was sentenced yesterday to six and a half years in prison to be followed by five years of supervised release on two counts of possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors and one count of receipt of materials involving the sexual exploitation of minors.

In April, officers found electronic media in O`Hara`s possession that had over 5,000 images and 16 videos of child pornography.

In addition to the jail time, O`Hara will have to pay $500 in restitution and a $300 assessment to the Crime Victim`s Fund.
