Thanksgiving Dinners for Oil Workers | Video

Chris Williams | 11/22/2012

With the fast paced life in the oil field, not everyone has time to cook a full thanksgiving dinner. Economart in Williston is helping out people who weren`t able to cook today. They prepared fully cooked Thanksgiving dinners with all of the trimmings.

The dinners can feed about 10 people and have been popular with the oil field workers this year.

Last year the Economart deli sold about 150 of the dinners. They thought it was a record, until they sold more than 250 this year. Deli Manager Carol Ann Ginther says oil crews appreciate the meal on Thanksgiving.

"Everything is right there for them, it`s easy. They`re away from they`re away from their families it really makes it nice that they are able to get something put together like that for them. Rather than sandwiches, the normal everyday stuff."

The turkey dinner has been the most popular item at the deli over the last three weeks.
