North Dakota Rhodes Scholar | Video

A North Dakota native was recently named a Rhodes scholar. Christian Heller of Beulah is attending the U.S. Naval Academy. There were 838 applicants for the award. Heller plans to attend Oxford University, focusing on Middle-Eastern History.

He has visited schools in the state, spreading his message.

"Someone from a small school in Beulah can really, with the right stars align along the way can end up in the same spot that someone from upscale Massachusetts going to Harvard can and there`s no difference," he said.

He plans to go to Oxford next September.
