These days, your smart phone can practically do anything. Fitness gurus use them to track their exercises, foodies download apps to find the next best restaurant. But one group of famous musicians used *theirs* to record a song, and for a good cause!

One Republic`s new song "Feel Again" is a part of the social campaign "Every Beat Matters." It`s a campaign partnered with Save The Children... to do just that. In the song Feel Again, the band recorded *actual* heartbeats of children from Africa and Guatemala using an iPhone App. This is a clip of one of campaigns youtube videos. The band says, when you listen to the song, it`s like the children are with you in the room.

When listeners buy the song off iTunes, 100 percent of the money goes towards the every beat matters campaign. Their goal is help impoverished children survive and for them to have available medical care. This campaign is completely social. So visit their website, facebook page, and tweet to them using hash tag every beat matters.

There are well over a million songs about Christmas...but what about Thanksgiving? Well one twelve year old girl decided to make one and now her YouTube video has gone viral.

Meet St. Louis girl Nicole Westbrook. Her new music video is now rivaling Rebecca Black`s "friday" for it`s so bad it`s so good reputation. In the video, Westbrook sings into a turkey leg and her producer jumps out in a turkey costume. Fun fact..he`s the same man behind "friday". This video has over 8 million hits with the "dislikes" out ranking the "likes" by 7 to 1. Here`s a quick listen.

And trending locally...He`s a professor at u mary, a novelist, and this week he`s debuting his original play "Grave Lullaby." it`s a ghost story acted out on stage. Which is definitely a rare sight.

Everyone involved is part of the U-Mary staff and student body. even this set was built by their own hands. And they say it`s a been quite the learning experience.

"I try to write a classic ghost story. I`m a big fan of the genre. The early 21st century ghost story stuff. Everyone in the play has a secret of some kind." Says director Jamieson Ridenhour.

"It`s been great getting to know these people. It`s light hearted but it`s professional. We`re here to get stuff done." Says sophomore Caleb Shaffer.

"You really come to learn the importance of bonding as a cast. I think that`s really important." Says Junior Sarah Nelson.

Last night was opening night. It`ll be running tonight through saturday night at 7:30 and sunday at 2:30 in the Arno Gustin Theater at U-Mary.
