Catholic Schools Making Room for Students | Video

Kristin Clouston | 11/13/2012

Bismarck Catholic Schools are anticipating their elementary enrollment will double within the next two to three years. To make room next fall the 7th and 8th graders from St. Annes, St. Marys and Cathedral will move to St. Mary`s High School. As of July 1, 2013, the four Bismarck Catholic Schools will all be under the same system called the Light of Christ Catholic Schools of Excellence.

"We also will eventually be building another facility. We`ll be starting a feasibility study that will tell us what facility, high school, middle school, or elementary school and where that might be located and that`s going to be part of the process as well. And this is the beginning of developing a more traditional middle school that`s aligned with the Bismarck Public School`s 6 through 8 model," said superintendent Dr. Rick Kruska.

Since the four Catholic schools will all be under the same system, parishes and the high school will neither lose nor gain revenue from moving the students.
