CDHS Hosts Santa Paws | Video

The holidays may be a month away, but the snow is already here. On Saturday afternoon, the Central Dakota Humane Society was hosting Santa Paws at Plantperfect in Bismarck.

Families and their pets were invited to the big greenhouse to pose with Santa and Mrs. Claus in a holiday photo. A professional photographer and volunteers from the CDHS decorated a holiday backdrop for others to use in their own holiday cards.

"We sit down with the people, we get them posed, we get all of the people and animals looking at the photographer and we start snapping. And somewhere in there, we get that good shot that`s great for a Christmas card," volunteer Cameo Skager said.

In the past, the CDHS has offered Santa Paws photos over two days. This year, however, due to the weather, there won`t be any photos taken on Sunday.
