Volunteer Recognition | Video

Julie Leonardi | 11/7/2012

RSVP-ND is a north central North Dakota volunteer organization that receives help from many people in the community to assist with various projects. The organization connects skilled volunteers with non-profit organizations that can use an extra hand with community needs. Tonight, their annual volunteer recognition dinner shows how much they appreciate the effort of their volunteers.

Miriam Smette, director for the program, enjoys hosting the dinner every year.

“Once a year we try to celebrate them with a dinner and we have other ways of recognizing them with discount coupons. Tonight is just a small thank you for their service.”

Two of the volunteers that were recognized during the dinner were Pat Ramsdell and Diane Hjelden. These two women teach a strength training class twice a week for women with osteoporosis. The class teaches ladies to lift weights while having a good time doing it!

If you`re interested in offering your services, contact RSVP-ND at 701-852-3799.
