| Minnewaukan Changes Annual Event to `Floodfest` |

| For more than 15 years the town of Minnewaukan has celebrated summer`s midpoint with SummerFest. This year, the day of concerts, entertainment and shopping has a new name - Floodfest. Minnewaukan is on Devils Lake`s western edge and has been battling floodwaters for years. The situation has steadily become more dire, and the town`s future is uncertain. Community Club President Sherri Thompson says officials decided that calling their annual celebration Floodfest might draw more people and garner more support to save the town. The festival is Saturday. |
