Medical costs can be a hindrance on any family, and that`s why one foundation is helping a Dickinson family with funding. Sherry`s Wishes has given $1,000 to 4-year-old leukemia patient Skout Krogh. The Dickinson-based foundation raised funds last summer and is now giving them to families in need. The money donated today will go towards the travel costs accrued by Skout`s parents.
Stacey Kadrmas of Sherry`s Wishes says, "We`re hoping that we can have a cure for her and this money can help them obviously as they have to travel and do all these treatments and stuff like that, so it gives them a little hope."
Skout`s dad, Kyle Krogh, says, "Definitely, it`s really nice and takes a lot of weight off shoulders and stuff."
Sherry`s Wishes is looking for other area families that are struggling with the costs of cancer. Log on to Sherryswishes.org for more information.
